The haid-tec MelaminPlusPads consist of refined melamine foam that is produced in Germany.
Melamine foam has excellent mechanical cleaning performance on various floor coverings.
Due to the manufacturing process, the color or the proportion of gray and white melamine resin foam can vary. We only use melamine foam of German origin. There is no difference in the cleaning performance between grey and white melamine foam.
The pure melamine tears quickly and wears out quickly. The refined melamine foam, on the other hand, is more tear-resistant and lasts much longer. This results in a long service life - e.g. up to 10 hours on porcelain stoneware tiles in contrast to 1 hour with pure melamine pads on a scrubber dryer machine.
The company haid-tec from Rottenacker developed the MelaminPlusPads as a problem solver for cleaning porcelain stoneware for the first time. The challenge here was to remove the gray lime and dirt build up that formed on the surface of porcelain stoneware coverings, in particular as a result of the use of unsuitable cleaning agents.
The floor coverings can usually be cleaned with little use of chemicals, labor and time.
Many years of experience are available for use in cleaning mineral floor coverings, in particular porcelain stoneware tiles, natural stone, artificial stone and structured surfaces.
The slower or more frequently the floor covering is cleaned and the higher the contact pressure of the cleaning machine, the stronger the cleaning performance.
The haid-tec MelaminPlusPads® have been used successfully on floor coverings by market leaders in industry, trade and commerce for years.
Basic cleaning: Use of e.g. 16 inch MelaminPlusPad® on single-disc machines.
Maintenance cleaning: Regular use in maintenance cleaning, equipping the scrubbing machines with the appropriate MelaminPlusPads.
The haid-tec MelaminPlusPads are simply mounted on the pad holder of the scrubber drier. The floor covering is cleaned with the machine as usual.
The MelaminPlusPads for single-disc machines were developed for use with single-disc machines, therefore without a cut out in the foam part.
The MelaminPlusPads for scrubber driers were manufactured with a cut out in the foam part for mounting on pads with centerlock. During daily maintenance cleaning, the motor head of the machine is run up and down several times, so we recommend using driver plates with a center lock, which ensure that the pads are held properly.
MelaminPlusPads consist of refined melamine foam and have the best possible mechanical cleaning performance.
With their special approx. 10 mm long fibers, PolyPlusPads have a good “deepcleaning effect”, especially on very heavily structured surfaces, they are washable up to 60°C and have a very long service life.
The MelaminPlusPads for orbital/eccentric machines is only 15mm high so that the high-frequency vibration of the machine's vibrating plate is transmitted directly to the floor covering. The pad can only remove dirt if the vibration is transferred to the floor.
The vibration must not be absorbed in the backing material or in the foam of the pad - otherwise the pad stands motionless on the floor and has no function.
The MelaminPlusPads for orbital-/excenter-machines, consists of a high-quality composite foam made of melamine resin with a firmly bonded Velcro backing, which optimally transmits the high-frequency vibrations of the machine. The velcro backing can be easily removed after use without leaving fibers on the velcro hooks of the vibrating plate.

The haid-tec PolyPlusPad can be used on various mineral and elastic floor coverings such as porcelain stoneware, natural stone, structured tiles, vinyl, linoleum, rubber nubbed coverings.
The fine polyester fibers have a high mechanical cleaning effect and remove dirt from the surface. The dirt does not attach itself to the fibres, remains in the dirt water and can therefore be vacuumed up with the scrubbing machine. There is no "soiling" of the fiber as with a pure microfiber pad.
The cleaning agents from haid-tec have been specially developed and optimized for the efficient cleaning of fine stoneware.
The haid-tec cleaning agents contain no fragrances, colorings or preservatives, are completely biodegradable, highly concentrated and do not form layers. The high-tech surfactants contained are made from renewable raw materials. The haid-tec cleaning agents impress with their fast dirt-dissolving ability. The loosened dirt is kept in solution by effective complexing agents and prevents re-accumulation.
The patented haid-tec process was developed to make surfaces made of porcelain stoneware and natural stone non-slip while largely preserving the shine and thus the brilliant look. The micropores brought into the surface by the process, which lead to increased slip resistance and surefootedness, are protected by patents.
Within a few years, haid-tec was able to establish itself throughout the industry and become the innovation leader. A small selection:
- In the industry sector, several thousand square meters of steps and floor coverings made of granite and porcelain stoneware were processed for the market-leading construction machinery manufacturer Liebherr.
- In the retail sector - several tens of thousands of
processed
square meters of porcelain stoneware for the drugstore chain Müller; and several hundred thousand
processed
square meters of fine stoneware flooring for a market-leading retail company.
The machines are designed for large-format porcelain stoneware tiles and natural stone slabs measuring up to 2.15×3.00 meters.
Increasing the slip resistance of polished and matt floors and stair coverings, especially made of mineral materials such as granite, marble, artificial stone, porcelain stoneware, ceramics. The aesthetic appearance is largely preserved.
The haid-tec® process as a mechanical process to achieve a defined slip resistance achieves the slip resistance classes R9, R10, R11 for the commercial sector and classes A, B, C for barefoot areas.
As early as possible. So already in the early planning stage. Then costs can be saved because you can already plan the delivery date for the finished floors. The worst possible time, on the other hand, is when slippery material has already been laid. Then there are only two alternatives: Either I rip out the floor covering again in order to install a newly processed one. Or the surface is processed directly on site, which usually causes more costs and delivers an uncertain result. Because that would not be a certified surface finish.
Laying companies in particular have the advantage that we can deliver finished and already impregnated surfaces. So there is no reworking on the construction site to make the floor resistant to water and oil. For the regular care of the floors, we have care products tailored to the special needs. As in other natural stone areas, the same applies here: No experiments with the wrong cleaning and care products! On the other hand, if you follow the care instructions, you will have an easy-to-care-for, representative floor. Even in highly frequented shopping arcades.
First of all, the legal obligation: We can offer surface treatment certified according to DGUV rule 108-003 (formerly BG rule 181/DIN 51130) for the commercial sector or according to GUV-I 8527 (DIN 51097) for wet barefoot areas. That means safety for our customers. Because if an accident should happen due to slipping, it can be clearly proven that planners, architects and, for example, shopkeepers have fulfilled their legal obligations.
Slip resistance is always a compromise between safety and aesthetics. Natural stone can be etched with acid to make it safer. But in our opinion, this sometimes leads to unsightly results. We also don't like the monotonous matrix structures that result from laser processing. We have therefore optimized our process in such a way that it preserves the natural aesthetics of the stone as much as possible. After all, a representative floor made of natural stone should also be visually convincing and effective.
In addition, we process the tiles or slaps at the factory. The finished natural stone is delivered to the construction site on time and is non-slip, eliminating the need for another work step on the construction site. The fact that we can process raw slaps in all available sizes would be an additional advantage for planners working on exclusive projects.
Right from the start and even before deciding on the material to be used. Depending on the type of material, a higher level of slip resistance can affect the appearance of the stone to a greater or lesser extent. We therefore always recommend processing a sample in order to be able to assess the result before installation.
With conventional methods such as etching with acid or grinding, the finished floor is processed. The result can be a nasty surprise and lead to disputes between client and contractor. We have treated floors with acid ourselves (at the factory, under controlled conditions) in the past and know well the pitfalls of this process. Executed on site, we consider this technique to be neither reliable nor liable in the event of accidents. And that means that those involved in the project have an unnecessary risk. We can even show laypeople the optical changes and different degrees of etching with the naked eye. It is all the more annoying for an entrepreneur when the customer asks him about these differences. And it's really annoying when the laid floor isn't uniformly non-slip over the entire surface.
